Turkeys for the Food Bank.  Mike Hammes and Eddie Hansen fronted $2,200 to purchase turkeys for the Food Bank this Thanksgiving.  Asking our membership to help defray those costs.

Christine introduced Brenda Wilson-Davis, supervisor and agent with the local FBI office.

The FBI has one field office in every state, several resident agencies in each state, plus over 60 "legal attaché offices" internationally.

The War on Terror: They FBI changed its priorities after 9/11:

  • Counter-terrorism;
  • Counter-intelligence;
  • Cyber-security;
  • Combat public corruption;
  • Protect civil rights;
  • Fight organized crimes;
  • Fight white collar crime & ID theft;
  • Investigate major violent crimes;
  • Support fed, state and local partner agencies;
  • Upgrade technology.

Recruiting new employees:  The FBI Academy is located in Quantico, VI.  It offers a 22-week course of instruction.  A wide range of FBI positions are available.  The FBI is actively interested in attracting young people to a career at the agency.
