Program
Orphalee introduced Sean Hogan, district governor, member of North Delta Club (25 years), was previously very involved in RYLA as chair for many years, a dedicated Rotarian and someone with a great sense of humor.
Sean thanked our club for hosting him. Sean says we need to reinvent Rotary to stay relevant in the 21st century.
The power of "i":
 • individual
 • international
 • inspiring
Sean told the story of Glenda Dickens who battled polio as a girl, wheelchair bound, to later become a successful teacher in BC.
Rotary builds peace when we help people become self-sufficient.
Sean set these goal for our club:
1) Increase membership (+10%);
2) Inspire the new generations, younger members;
3) Support the RI Foundation/PolioPlus
4) Public relations, tell the Rotary story.
Sean welcomed everyone to attend the 2013 District Conference (May 30 - Jun 2, 2013). Sean promised a really fun party over the long weekend based at the Four Season Hotel downtown Vancouver. In addition to the conference, Sean said there will also be golf, shopping tours, great food, a dinner at the aquarium, and even a flash mob dance.

Special District awards were given to Barry Kramer and Steve Brummell.

Tim Krell wins the raffle.

Respectfully submitted,
