Program
Christine Palmerton introduced Daniel Kirkpatrick, director of Explorations Academy (EA), a small private high school here in Bellingham.
Daniel has three kids himself, and started Explorations Academy in 1995.
Two key Issues: 1) World is changing; 2) Public high school can't help all the kids, even the bright ones.
Daniel says it is time to think differently about education.
EA tries to:
  • Make education personally "impactful";
  • Also creating positive, respectful social community;
  • Understanding current & global issues.
EA helps kids become responsible citizens (chores and community service)
EA never turns kids away because of financial need.

Respectfully submitted,
Stowe Talbot
