Bill Gorman reported on last weekend's District Conference at Semiahmoo:  Bill reported that last year there were no new cases of polio in India: A big indicator of success of the Rotary inoculation program.  Glendine said she learned that only 22% of the RYLA participants (at our District 5050 RYLA event this year) were from the US (the others, 78%, are Canadian).

Changing of the Guard Party at Boxx Farm evening of June 26th, tickets available soon.  

Steve Kimberly said the International Committee's fundraising dinner @ Ciao Thyme 6pm on June 14th; tickets still available! Contact Mary Humphries by Email!

Steve Brummel said Brewers tickets now on sale!  We should each try to sell 20 tickets each, 30 odd brewers and 60 odd beers to sample!

Mark Turner is teaching a class at WCC on how to use iPhone to take amazing photos; he showed us a few of his secrets.  
  • move in close to fill frame 
  • subject off center
  • fore / middle/ background
  • use leading line to direct attention
  • mid-day sun is harsh, side light shows form, back light is dramatic;
After creating an image, you can enhance to images using apps such as Adobe Photoshop, Iris Photo Suite, Camera+, Slow Shutter, AutoStitch, and HDR Fusion.
