Program
Tonja introduced our own Bob Jones, who talked about his experience with the "ManKind Project".
The ManKind Project offers trainings which support men in developing lives of integrity, accountability, and connection to feeling. The trainings challenge men to develop their abilities as leaders, partners, fathers, and elders in order to offer their gifts in service. The movement started back in the 70's and 80's, in part as a response to the social changes and upheaval of that period.
Find healthy masculinity.
The organization sponsors and organizes three-day "New Warrior" training adventures for newcomers and veterans. These phsysically and emotionally challenging events foster individual personal growth and team building.
The "traditional warrior" serves a mission through a chain of command, he is not supposed to show emotion.
Conversely, the "new warrior" learns to show his emotional side, and to serve his own internal mission.
