Sergeant at Arms by Denise Bosman
Our Sergeant at Arms fined WSU football fans for a terrible effort against Oregon, UW football fans for another loss and WWU football fans because they don't have a team to root for anymore. Bill Boyd was fined for a "pretty cool" tree fire on Saturday. Facebook users were fined for not updating their pages. Lesa Boxx was fined for the giant snake video; John Hulbert was fined for a birdie on the 15th and great dinner service; Terry Brown for a local home that received a national architectural award. Bob Moles was fined for being in the right business at the right time.

Program:
Curt Smith shared the history of the Bellingham Bay Rotary Club. Founded in the late 70's as a spin-off of other local clubs, our club had 32 people as the original members and met at the Leopold. Bob Tull added that the solicitation, application and induction of new members remains imperative to the long term stability of our club. Additionally, we should consider those that are good, positive, community-oriented business owners or professionals. Lastly, make sure not to step on the toes of other members by proposing a new member that is in a similar industry.

Respectfully submitted,

Chris White
