Membership
Jim McCallum reported that our goal to bring in 12 new members this year. We reviewed the "new member criteria" flow chart. Be on the lookout for good people!

New Member talks:

John Stewart born in Cincinnati, attended U Cincinnati, and received an MBA. He left in 1981 for Kentucky in international banking, then moved to Portland OR where he met his wife, Annie. They have been married 16 years. They have a 14 year old daughter, Madelein, who is a successful 8th grader at St. Paul's Academy. They live in the Sehome Neighborhood and love Bellingham!

Vanessa Blackburn was born and grew up in Arcada in Humbolt County, CA, which is a logging and fishing community. 1991 moved to Bellingham and attended WWU - editor of Western Front. She was attracted to journalism for its mix of creativity and community service. Although she had moved away from journalism for a few years, recently John Thompson asked her to take over the Bellingham Business Journal as editor and publisher, and she agreed. She is married, lives in the Columbia Neighborhood with sons Henry, Finn and a new 4-month old. She loves living and working in this community!

Respectfully submitted,
Stowe Talbot
