Program
Rob Martin, chairman of our District Rotary Foundation, spoke about the Foudation and Foundation positive impact around the world. Rob is from the Burlington Club.

But first, Rob presented two Paul Harris Awards:
Ron Hardesty - for his work on the Centennial project and Pure Water for the World;
Frank Zurline, one of our club's charter members, the current membership chair, and a great Rotarian.
Thank you Ron and Frank for all you've for Rotary and our club!

Rob explained that our district is the biggest Foundation money-raiser for the entire Area 23. The Foundation and the progams that programs funds makes a big differnce around difference world.  We watched a short video about the Rotary Foundation and its work internationally: School building, water supply, water distillation, polio vaccination, containerized surgical unit, etc.  These are the types of projects that can make ahuge differnce huge difference lives.

Ron Hardesty reminded us that using matching money we can triple or quadruple the money that we contribute.  In the case of Pure Water for the World, Part 1 will be realized in Trujillo total $174,000. The 2nd grant we'll apply for Copan, smaller, only $100,000 needed.

Please keep Denise Bosman, Bob Rice, and Joel Hile in your thoughts.

Respectfully submitted,
Stowe Talbot
