Terry:  WWU Basketball game fellowship event $35/adult, kids under 8 are free. Date is Saturday, March 6!

Eddie:  April 3rd fellowship event at Nona Rosa for dinner and then MBT's Cabaret fellowship event.

Lance: Rotario dinner at McEvoy's March 20th, 6:30pm $75/person, 4 couples.

Marla says we had four RYLA applicants, and all were accepted to go!  We are sending:

Induction of New Members:

Stan introduced new member Glen Groenig.  He is married to Sally born in Yakima, spend many years working in Alaska, then Oak Harbor.  He and Sally has a son and daughter, each with 3 kids themselves.  Currently he has the UPS Store franchise on Meridian.  Bill Unrein did the honors.

Joel Hile introduced Lisa Shork.  Senior partner of LTC Capstone - long term care planning.  Lisa studied in NYC and Europe.  She was raised in New York State, then worked for many years in finance in San Francisco.  Interested in travel, board member for visiting nurse and several other boards.  Also a volunteer for Mount Baker Theatre.  Phil X did the honors

 

Bucks in the Bay

  • Tonja bucks for our fabulous fire department;
  • Curtis Dye for four days in Vancouver at Olympics;
  • Eddie got inspired to go up to the Games, and had a magical weekend up there with great Canadian hospitality and generosity;
  • Mimi plugged the Mount Baker Theatre event this weekend: Camelot!
  • Bill Unrein gave proud "new grandpa" bucks;
  • Bill Boyd thanked his team for good work on the Holly Street fire;
  • Doug Wight  went up to the games with family, attended finals women's figure skating! And upcoming birthday and anniversary!
  • John Templeton recommends everyone reading the book "Looking Back" with photos by Galen Biery;
  • Tim Krell talked about the great Olympic hockey games!
  • Steve Spitzer was on the road a lot in February, to Florida and then Arizona;
  • Mary Humphries proud of the Canadians, and it was a great hockey finals game!
  • Jane Carten for a birthday, had a great time up at Whistler;
  • Denise went to Mauna Kea on the Big Island;
  • Frank Z was also up at Whistler;
