Barry Kramer explained that the Hospice House is a project that will be developed on 4.7 acres where the Catholic Community Service facility currently exists. The overall capital need is $5 million. At any given time, 105-115 patients are on the Hospice census. Approximately 10% of those are unable to maintain their residence. The purpose of the house is to provide a residence for people who CANNOT return to their own home to during their final days.

Dave Morrow-Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch
Leslie Umberger, PTA member, teacher, student and dual citizen.
Upfront Theatre - Comedian/Sitcom star Ryan Stiles originated the idea of building an improv theatre in Bellingham after he fundraised $35,000 for playground equipment in one night of improv through the Mt. Baker theatre. Since then, the Upfront theatre has produced over 700 shows, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings.
Other fundraisers from the improv team have included raising money for the Performance Pavillion at Boulevard Park; and for Jake Finkbonner. The all women's group is performing at Skagit Valley College this Saturday to fundraise for scholarships for displaced homemakers. The Upfront Players have also volunteered with teachers and students in district schools, their efforts have demonstrated that improve can help individuals learn ways of thinking outside the box.

And fun was had by all..
