Program:
Barry introduced Lynda Goodrich, Director of Athletics at WWU.  There are 500 student-atthletes that play in 17 different sports (8 men's, 9 womens).  WWU competes very strongly even on a national level.  Quality of student-athletes also very high:  72% graduate.  Football is currently Div II, scheduling and budget costs are a nightmare, so they are considering moving to "North Central Conference" (for football only).  Negotiations continue, but it looks promising.  As for recruiting, WWU can legally give 144 scholorships, but in fact only currently gives 62.  Sports budget is $2.3 million (third from state, third from student fees, third from fundraising).
