*Pure Water for the World will host its annual support brunch on June 12th, at noon, at the studio room at Mount Baker Theatre.  The event will kick off the new project with Copan, Honduras.

*Bill Gorman announced that we have two RYLA participants from Bellingham:  Courtney Graves and Justin Quilliam.

Stowe will give a training session to the club soon.  To log on, your username is Firstname.Lastname.265, and the password is 265.  Please update your personal info and change your password.

*Student of the Month:
Steve Wiley from Squalicum High School introduced this month's student, Manchee Huan (Ladybird).  Ladybird is originally from Hong Kong, and speaks Cantonese.  She has been very involved in her church and volunteering for St. Francis as a translator.  She wants to go to Seattle Pacific University next year to study for a nursing degree. Congratulations, Ladybird!

New Member Talks:

Todd Ramsey was born and raised in Bellingham, attended WWU.  After college joined Bellingham Police Department and recently was promoted to Deputy Chief of Police.  Has a son, Hayden, 7 years old.  Recently built a house off Barkley Boulevard.  Has enjoyed joining our club and being mentored by Bill Unrein. 

Ken Oplinger was born at an air force base in S. Carolina.  3rd generation Arizonian, grew up in Tempe.  Participated in Rotary exchange in HS to Spain, his brother also Rotary exchange to Chile.  Family hosted many Rotary exchange students.  After college hired at Gold Beach, OR Chamber of Commerce, then California.  14 years now working for Chambers of Commerce.  One daughter Rachel, lives in Blaine near in-laws (Richmond, BC). Thanks the club for inviting him to join.
