Announcements:

*Pure Water for the World will host its annual support brunch on June 12th, at 11 AM, at the studio room at Mount Baker Theatre.  The event will kick off the new project with Copan, Honduras.  See Bob Moles, Cy, Glendine, or Ron.

*Interact club from Squalicum HS:  Megan Cartwright explained that their club tries to do one volunteer service project per month, for example: help with the Barkley Pumpkin Patch last October, in November served coffee to Rotary "Salvation Army" bell ringers, in January bake sale raised $400 for Tsunami victims, in February went to Lincoln Towers to help elderly with apartment clean-up, in March helped with Big Brothers Sisters Sisiters bowling event, in April Mother's Mothers' Day gift baskets for YWCA and Lydia Place, this month they'll do a bake sale for an adoption.  Thanks Dan Wilkerson and Bill Gorman.

Matt Rose grew up in Bellingham, Sehome HS, flew for the Navy, lived in Hawaii also Middle East and Japan deployment, Desert Storm and Desert Strike, United Airlines pilot, then Harvard MPA after 2001, Navy rank as commander, now works at Northwest Radiology, wife Sarah and 3 kids.

Christine Palmerton grew up in Bellingham, then WWU, owner of Par Yacht Charters, husband and 3 kids, board member of Boys and Girls Club.

Donna Edquist raised in Anacortes, went to WWU, Seattle then returned to WWU husband and 2 kids, founded Steve's Blueprinting which has become Applied Digital Imaging.  Chair of Boys and Girls Club "Kidsfest" auction which raised $205K this year.

Date is Sunday November 6th.  Why?  Because that time of year good for wineries and Sundays are best for restaurants.  The plan is to have 40 restaurants and 40 wineries this year, and 750 tickets sold (of which 250 VIP tickets at $100 each, and 500 regular tickets at $75 each).  VIP tickets get early admittance to event at 5:30pm, rest enter after 7pm.  Event at Lakeway Best Western:  Main ballroom for the event, small room across hall for the auction items, another small room for deserts and desert wines, another space for wines sales.

Committees need 10 people each, everyone please sign up for one:
