Thanks to Terry and Jeanne for taking our photos for the club Roster.

Bill introduced Leah Macaleer from Junior Achivement, to whom we presented a check for $1,700 from our club.  Leah is the regional director for JA of Whatcom County.  JA uses volunteers to teach life skills to elementary, middle and high school students; skills based on the priciples of free enterprise and business.  JA is funded totally by local businesses and organizations like Rotary.  Each year over 500 classrooms localy are taught.

John Templeton:  Tonja's good idea to invite our charity recipiants to receive their check;
Robin: Daughter's friends and a BBQ;
Curtis: hosting six 8-years olds at the Deming Fair;
Gerald: Thanks to Patti for baseball tickets, also weekend in LA with son;
Brent: 32nd wedding anniversary;
Lance: thanks to Comcast for DVR - makes watching of World Cup easier;
Hardesty: visist of 84-yr old dad, and daughter home from WSU, July 28th gig at the Green Frog;
Bill Geyer: birthday, and grandaughter #3 on the way;
Scott Swanson: success in Pasco, WA for the boy's soccer team he coaches;
Frank Chmelik: for the Czech victory over the US World Cup soccer;
Scotty: visit to CA to see mom;
Chuck Olson: for a recent article in the magazine "NW Fly Fishing" about his dad.

Mike Kirkland, Terry/Gordon and Dennis for their garish ties, Ron beaten by his dad in golf, Bill Unrein and landlocked Paraguay, former Rotary presidents, Tim McEvoy, Orphalee, Brynat, attorny's and Matt "smells like a" Rose.  Good job, Matt and Lauren!

Program
John Sleeth introduced a group of local Master Masons, and National Sojourners (composed of past or present officers of the uniformed forces of the United States who are Master Masons). The "Heroes of the 76" is an affiliated group.  These gentlemen gave a facinating history of the evolution of the American flag.
