Grape and Gourmet ticket update by Zachary.  Tix go on sale Sept 15th, then for the next two weeks each Rotarian will be allowed only 4 VIP tix max ($125/each, cash up front), then if any left it is first come first serve!  If we sell all VIP and regular tix, we will raise $60,000.  Bill Gorman said we will be making some improvements to the event, like providing info cards at each wine station (to help you remember which win you tasted).

We have a new member application for Leena Marie Kirschman; she is a mortgage adviser at "Neighborhood Mortgage". Classification is mortgage. Sponsor is Steve Spitzer. Please Email Brent Walker if you have comments or concerns.

Program
Lesa Boxx's daughter Michelle talked about her RYLA experience and showed some slides from her participation in 2007.  RYLA means "Rotary Youth Leadership Award".  Usually held in June, for 4 days.  The camp brings together about 50 young people ages 17-25 from Canada and USA.  Ryla's mission is to recognize the roles youth leaders play in our communities as well as to expose them to speakers and activities that heighten their knowledge of the skills required of highly effective leaders.  RYLA is held at Zajac Ranch in BC, near Mission BC (although they are currently looking for a US location).  At the event, the participants break out into groups, led by past participants like Michelle.  Each group has a busy schedule that includes taking on a group business project (presentation, business outline, and putting on a skit).  They also do an outdoor project; for example clean-up of downtown Mission, BC).
