Christine Gregoire will be in attendance. Tickets are $40, includes dinner, and you can sign up at www.sconnect.org/roast/. Program
Cy Lindberg introduced Mike Stoner and Mike Hogan from Port of Bellingham. Mike Stoner invited everyone to attend an upcoming celebration of the Department of Ecology's "clean-up agreement" signing; it will take place this Thursday at 10:30AM at GP site. Mike gave a slide show and described the Whatcom Waterway cleanup effort as it relates to the waterfront development. Cleanup goals: 1. safe permanent and practical - over 10 years of investigation and science; 2. supports mixed-use waterfront - incl. ASB marina and downtown visitor moorage, deepwater dock maybe for NOAH, and denser mixed-use center for more sustainable economy; 3. supports salmon recovery efforts - shoreline clean-up and restoration, people-friendly, salmon-friendly shoreline. The upland clean-up has different regulations and priorities.

Respectfully submitted,
Stowe Talbot
