Program
Stan introduced Larry Jubie, our District 5050 Governor.  Larry worked in banking business in Lynwood until retirement.  Marysville Rotary since 1995, Paul Harris Fellow.  Serves on Marysville School District board, works with YMCA, many trip to Guatemala.

Larry said this is his 36th club visit this year.  He recently attended training seminar in California, which was also attended by incoming Rotary President John Kenny.  Larry challenged our club to sign up at least one new member this year - if every club did that we would have 36,000 new Rotarians around the world!  The number one goal for Rotary in general is polio eradication.

Talked about his experiences in Honduras.  One project was to replace leaky roofs with sturdy corrugated tin roofs for 17 windows in one village.  Simple project with meaningful(albeit small) results.

This year's RI Convention will be in Montreal, celebrating 100 years of Rotary "going international".  Project to build a school in Afghanistan.  District Conference will be in Marysville, WA.

Tonja and Larry honored three "pilots" in our club, people who have given "above and beyond":  Bill Geyer, Phil X Hageman and Mike Hammas for their work on the Food Bank.

Rotary International wants to raise $200 million for Polio Plus, to eliminate polio once and for all.

Raffle won by yours truly.
