Program
Lance introduced Dennis Sobchuk, coach of the Bellingham Bulls, our WHA hockey team. Dennis grew up in a very small town in Saskatchewan, and like many young hockey players that show promise, he moved away at age 16 to go train and be coached in a bigger city. He played 12 years in the NHL, alongside some greats like Gordy Howe, Bobby Hull and Wayne Gretsky.

The Bellingham Bulls are the WHA Junior West League's franchise in Bellingham, and one of two WHA Junior West teams based in Washington State. The team was publicly announced on May 15, 2006 and team offices opened in July 2006. The Bulls are the fourth regional league team in Bellingham. The last regional league team in Bellingham, the Ice Hawks, was sold and moved to British Columbia in 1994. The Bellingham Bulls have come a long way to raise the profile of hockey in Bellingham. It's great entertainment for the fans - some new rules make it more exciting, faster and less violent. Plus the team is a stepping stone for a lot of kids (age 16-20) on their way to college or possibly NHL. The Bulls are currently 3 and 3 on the season. Please come out and support your local team!
