John Hulbert: Tournament for the Children will take place April 27th (Thursday) 1:30pm shotgun start, 18-hole scramble, with BBQ after. We need foursomes and hole sponsors.

Ron Hardesty: Centennial work party last Saturday at 9am completed the gateway except for plaque. Also, please see Ron if interested in participating in our club's weekly golf league "Men's Club" at Padden every Wed night at 4pm starting May⿦

Bill awarded Heidi Bugby (St. Francis Extended Child Care) $3,800. Heidi thanked the club. SFECC is an intergenerational program, providing the opportunity for regular interaction between the elderly and the very young.

Program
Orphalee Smith introduced Marion Alexander and Tamara Guilds â¿¢ managers of the "Special Collections" division of the WWU Library. Their talk was entitled "What's so special about 'Special Collection'?" The Special collections division is young (founded in 1999) but located in one of the oldest parts of the library (built in 1927). The division is a "working" collection, open to all the public during working hours. What is the assembly?

Campus History Collection - documents all aspects of Western from its opening day in 1899. Access Campus History;
Controlled Access Collection - unique works requiring special care;
Mathes Reading Figurines Collection - over 200 figurines, small sculptures, carvings, and figure groups depicting the act of reading.
Northwest Collection - books and other items concerning the history, politics, and culture of the Pacific Northwest and Northwest Washington State in particular.

The Western Collection - preserves the legacy of scholarship and creativity at Western;
